A FOUR-SIDED die is commonly called a d4

WHEN WOULD A D4 BE USED?

Dungeons and Dragons:
The d4 is used to generate hit points (life points) for non combatants like wizards or peasents
It is also used to generate damage for very small weapons such as daggers or slings

Dice : D4 OPAQUE SHARP SOLID 2 When d4's were first released they were sharp edged opaque truncated tetrahedrons
with the numbering for the roll arranged along the bottom edge of the die

to the points of the tetrahedron

These are quite rare and are no longer made due to patent infringement
