    COMPANY INFO           :
We purchased a hobby shop in Buffalo Grove, IL in 1978.  We sold models, trains, rockets, and games.  The games included D&D of which a big part was the gaming Dice. We sold the games and the Dice as fast as we could get them from the distributors.  We couldn't get enought of these wierd dice, so we ended up going to the source which a the time was GAMESCIENCE.  We started buying them by the 100's, and then by the 500 per box.  Opaques at first then later the transparants came out.  Eventually we got a 50/10/25 discount so we started painting in the #s ans selling them to the distributors. in plastic boxes and all.  about this time GAMESCIENCEraised the price pf the dice a dime.  this had little effect at first, then GAMESCIENCE got word of our profits and cut us off, sowe put up $35000 and had our own mold made.  it had 16 cavities, 2 4 sided, 2 6 sided, 3 8 sided, 3 10 sided, 2 12 sided, and 4 20 sided (numbered 0-9 twice) called a percentile die,  Now we could make all the dice that the would could use.  Unbeknowenst to us severa other people did the sam thing (Armory for one).  The war was onand the dice prices fell.  We lost our distributors and then just sold thru the Dragon Magazine for 6 to 8 years --- direct to the gamers.  About 1995 we stopped selling in the Dragon as the email sales took over.  We went dormant for about 5 years then started selling on ebay.  Now with retirement looming we are going out of business.  The mold and the Business are for sale.
